Job summary

Alliance Animal Health is seeking a Regional Medical Director to oversee six general practice clinics in the Los Angeles area. This role combines clinical practice with leadership, mentoring veterinarians, and setting clinical standards across the region.

You will partner with the Regional Operations Manager to align medical and operational excellence, traveling between Palmdale and Covina to support teams and maintain high patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Current Veterinary License holder for the State of California; or the ability to obtain.
• 5+ years of clinical experience as a veterinarian.
• DEA license preferred, not required.
• Natural leader and mentor who is driven to teach others.
• Highly organized and able to manage time effectively.
• Willingness to travel across the region to support all clinics spanning from Palmdale, CA to Covina, CA.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership and oversight across multiple locations.
• Mentor and develop associate veterinarians, especially early-career DVMs.
• Support clinical growth in areas like surgery, diagnostics, and case management.
• Foster a collaborative, positive, and high-performing team culture.
• Help drive consistency in quality of care while respecting each hospital’s individuality.
