Job summary

Thenovaauthority is seeking three highly motivated Transportation Planners to join its Transportation Planning and Programming team in Virginia. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of two years of experience in transportation planning. Responsibilities include planning for the future of Northern Virginia, supporting regional initiatives, and overseeing project delivery. The position offers a starting salary of $85,000 for junior level and $95,000 for mid-career level, with a range of benefits including health insurance and flexible spending accounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of transportation planning experience; metropolitan transportation planning is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan for the future of Northern Virginia by contributing to TransAction.
• Support multiple region-wide transportation planning initiatives.
• Assist in reviewing and updating NVTA’s Transportation Technology Strategic Plan.
