Job summary

Coca-Cola Consolidated is seeking a Regional Transport Planner Lead in Charlotte to train and mentor planning staff across regions. This role will oversee truck, trailer, and driver planning to maximize productivity, service levels, and revenue while coordinating with multiple departments.

You will cover vacations for planners, monitor KPI metrics, and drive process improvements with Supply and Freight teams to optimize asset utilization.

Qualifications

• Coordinates transportation planning and execution across regions.
• Proactive problem solver with strong communication skills.
• Proficient in TMW and Microsoft Excel for planning activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for other planners during vacation and sick time.
• Covers for Area Service Manager as necessary.
• Reviews plans for efficient asset utilization and recommends changes to improve efficiency.
• Plans drivers via TMW accurately and timely while complying with HOS regulations.
• Conducts and manages meetings with RC Operations management and planners.
• Tracks KPIs such as On-Time Delivery, driver and truck utilization; reduces empty miles.
• Establishes relationships with regional managers and driver managers to maximize utilization.
• Communicates pick-up and delivery exceptions with relevant stakeholders.
• Partners cross-functionally with Supply Planner to reduce accessorial events and charges.
