Job summary

ARCO National Construction is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead high-end TI and commercial projects in the New England region. You will manage field operations, coordinate subcontractors, and partner with the project manager to maintain schedules and budgets.

The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and quality with a strong focus on client satisfaction. A minimum of 5 years as a lead superintendent on similar projects is expected, with travel across New England required.

Qualifications

• 5–25 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years as a lead superintendent on fast-paced TI, high-end commercial builds, or adaptive reuse projects.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout New England.
• Proficiency with construction management software including Procore, Bluebeam, and Excel.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to meet physical demands including standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations and jobsite execution across commercial/industrial projects.
• Direct teams, resolve conflicts, and maintain schedule adherence.
• Attend post-award review meetings and begin preconstruction planning.
• Develop construction schedules with the project manager, including manpower and equipment.
• Oversee project to meet specs, stay on schedule, and target profitability.
• Coordinate subcontractors to ensure on-time performance.
• Prepare progress and cost reports reflecting actual costs.
• Review requisitions, field PO's, and invoices.
• Maintain communication with the project manager on progress and issues.
• Complete daily reports with key project details and site observations.
• Enforce safety program adherence across all phases.
• Lead with integrity, upholding ARCO values and client satisfaction.

About You

Ready to experience a better way to build your career? ARCO National Construction is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead high-end TI commercial projects. This is a role for an experienced Superintendent, Lead Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, or similar construction professional who is ready to take ownership of jobsite execution from post-award review through project completion. You will lead subcontractors, maintain project schedules, enforce safety and quality standards, and partner closely with the project manager to deliver successful projects for our clients. A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Lead field operations and jobsite execution throughout all phases of commercial and industrial construction projects
• Demonstrate strong leadership with ability and willingness to face challenges, direct teams, and effectively resolve conflicts
• Attend the post-award review meeting to gather project details and begin preconstruction planning
• Partner with the project manager to develop the construction schedule, including activity sequencing, manpower, and equipment needs
• Oversee the project to ensure work meets specifications, stays on schedule, and achieves target profitability
• Coordinate subcontractor activities to ensure effective performance within the project timeline
• Assist in the preparation of job progress and cost reports to accurately reflect actual costs
• Review and approve requisitions, field purchase orders, invoices, and key project documents
• Maintain constant communication with the project manager to keep them informed of job progress, plans, and issues that may impact costs or schedules
• Complete daily reports documenting key project details, events, conditions, visitors, client interactions, commitments, and approvals
• Enforce adherence to the company’s safety program in all phases of the project
• Lead with integrity and a commitment to quality, upholding company values and focusing on exceeding internal and external client expectations

Necessary Qualifications

• 5–25 years of construction experience, with at least 5 of those years as a lead superintendent on quick-turnaround entertainment or high-end commercial build outs, TIs, or adaptive reuse projects
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout New England
• Proficiency with construction management and project software, including Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in your state of residence.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: standing or walking for long periods of time, occasionally on uneven terrain, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and/or lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds.

This represents typical base compensation for the role. Candidates with extensive experience may exceed this range. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation based on individual and company performance.

$108,000 - $192,000 USD
