Job summary

Terracon is seeking an experienced Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager to lead environmental regulatory programs across the Eastern Midwest and related regions. The role focuses on guiding staff, delivering high-quality compliance work, and building client relationships nationwide.

You will manage teams, mentor engineers, and coordinate with clients to ensure adherence to environmental regulations, while leveraging Terracon's resources for successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required or preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in a full-time consulting role.
• Proven ability to engage and lead a team of technical staff and mentor their growth.
• Demonstrated a high level of technical writing ability.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work with a positive attitude.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
• 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER and current 8-Hr refresher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare calculations, applications, plans, reports, proposals, and other deliverables.
• Manage projects and staff to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Understand the local and regional market.
• Develop strong working relationships with clients.
• Develop proposals in response to RFPs and client requests.
• Participate in the development of local and regional marketing strategies.
• Support safety efforts to promote safety rules and guidelines.
• Evaluate problems and develop practical solutions that enable our clients to achieve and maintain compliance with environmental regulations.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be confident and possess a strong technical background with proven leadership skills. You will manage projects, prepare reports and other deliverables, and review documents prepared by others for accuracy, completeness, and quality following company standards. You will also develop client relationships and train, mentor, and direct staff on projects. You will serve as a local point of contact for Environmental Compliance services and provide support on regional and national projects and pursuits.
