Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Sustainability Analyst to support the energy, water, and waste management strategy across GCS programs. The role concentrates on transforming sustainability data into actionable insights that drive decisions.

Office presence is required five days a week in Arlington, VA and Seattle, WA. Key tasks include quantifying program impacts, improving data collection processes, and tracking results with a focus on ROI and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar analyst role.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and large data set management.
  • Proficiency in Smartsheets, SQL, Python, VBA Macros, Tableau, or PowerBI.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to describe data anomalies.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and process-driven approach.
  • Experience and understanding of sustainability and carbon emissions reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize relationships with utility, municipal, and technology partners to improve performance and reduce program costs.
  • Establish strong working relationships with workstreams to deliver against KPI targets.

What this job involves

As a member of the JLL Sustainable Operations team, you will support coordination of the implementation of the energy, water, and waste management strategy and supporting processes, programs, targets, reports, and projects to achieve scope of work delivery and goals. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen to transform sustainability data into actionable insights that drive decision-making across GCS programs and regions. This position requires in-office presence 5 days per week.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide support to sustainability team, specific to energy, water, and waste program goals, collaborating with team members as needed

Qualifications
  • 2-3 years’ experience in similar analyst role.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and large data set management.
  • Preferred proficiency in SmatSheets, SQL, Python, VBA Macros, Tableua, or PowerBI
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to identify and describe data anomalies and provide solutions accordingly.
  • Ability to multi‑task and manage priorities to meet deadlines.
  • A strong desire to deliver a quality outcome for the client and end users.
  • Experience and understanding of sustainability and carbon emissions reporting will be a strong advantage.
  • Project management experience would be an advantage.
  • This role requires a high attention to detail and a strong process‑driven approach.
  • Ensure success stories are tracked and communicated to ensure a high level of awareness and engagement is achieved with regard to the overall sustainability program and client’s success.
  • Demonstrate innovative thinking and proactive management in bringing new ideas and solutions to the services delivery, and ensure they are rolled out effectively.
  • Support data entry for sustainability reporting.

Compensation

Estimated compensation for this position: 87,100.00 - 98,900.00 USD per year. This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
