The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Nurse Consultant II (NS) in the Division of Child and Family Well-Being to serve as the primary resource for local health departments, hospitals, and schools in assessing student health needs and delivering nursing services.

Responsibilities include program assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation, with emphasis on collaboration, data-driven growth, and training resources for school health initiatives

Qualifications

• Skilled in effective communication, both oral and written, demonstrated through writing samples and presentations.
• Working knowledge of population-based health and public health principles.
• Understanding of local, state and federal laws governing NC school health, via experience as a school/public health nurse.
• Skilled in data collection and use for program growth and evaluation.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel in daily work activities.
