Job summary

Kaplan North America in the San Francisco area is seeking Regional SAT/ACT teachers to travel to regional locations, teach in-person sessions, and contribute to a pre-existing curriculum.

Ideal applicants are current students or lifelong learners with high SAT/ACT scores, able to work independently with a remote manager, and eager to grow teaching skills through training and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Scores within the 90th percentile of the SAT or ACT.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work independently with a remote manager.
• Passion for helping others achieve their goals.
• Respond to quickly changing needs with agility and flexibility.
• Travel required; lead time, locations and dates determined by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-person SAT and/or ACT preparation sessions across a variety of regional locations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver SAT and ACT prep and/or other educational content tailored to student needs.
• Prepare students using teaching methods and a carefully curated curriculum to fully immerse students in the language of the SAT or ACT.
• Support students both in and out of class, enabling them to solve problems with critical thinking.
• Continue to learn via world-class professional training, coaching, and development.
• Enjoy a flexible, part-time teaching schedule.
• Connect with colleagues remotely while completing training and class prep from the comfort and convenience of home.
• Potential for additional part-time employment opportunities based on business needs and meeting certain requirements, including online tutoring.

Regional SAT/ACT Teacher - San Francisco Area
