Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking a seasoned agricultural sales professional to drive account growth across the Missouri region. You will build durable relationships with growers, understand their needs, and tailor agronomic solutions using our product offerings.

You will manage key accounts, lead field demonstrations, conduct soil sampling, and present data-driven results. Travel up to 50% is required, and you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve obstacles and ensure

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an agricultural, chemical, biological or related field preferred.
  • Current CCA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ proven success in an Ag Sales or Account Management position preferred.
  • Strong understanding of regional row crop market.
  • Agronomic understanding of other specialty crops grown in the region preferred.
  • Ability to travel including overnight.
  • Must be able to travel domestically up to 50% of the time.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth and build long-term partnerships with agricultural customers.
  • Manage accounts through relationship management, hands-on field support, and consultative sales techniques.
  • Serve as the primary contact for product and service-related questions.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend and execute appropriate solutions.
  • Develop relationships with decision makers at key accounts.
  • Provide agronomy expertise and integrate product offerings into grower programs.
  • Collaborate with departments to anticipate obstacles and resolve challenges.
  • Support direct corporate farm sales and distribution efforts.
  • Perform in-field product testing, including soil sampling.
  • Formalize and present findings to customers to demonstrate product results.
  • Conduct regular on-site visits with current and prospective customer accounts.
  • Conduct product application demonstrations as needed.
  • Maintain detailed customer interaction records in the approved CRM.
  • Stay current on industry and crop-business knowledge in the assigned region.
  • Attend sales training, meetings, events, and seminars.
  • Maintain timely communications with sales personnel, management, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to account management processes.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Ability to walk, stand, and navigate uneven terrain at active farms or industrial sites
  • Must be able to wear and properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection
  • May require occasional lifting or carrying of materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work in environments involving dust, noise, vibration, and varying weather conditions
  • Comfortable with extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
