Volkert Inc. in Texas seeks an experienced Regional Safety & Fleet Specialist to support the Southwest Region. You will lead regional safety programs, manage fleet safety, and partner with regional management and the Corporate Fleet Director.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree, 3–5 years of OSHA/DOT experience, incident investigations, and ability to travel 50%. The role emphasizes training, audits, and compliance across federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–5 years of safety regs experience (OSHA/DOT).
• Knowledge of HS&E, Workers' Comp, Loss Prevention.
• 1 year managing people or safety projects.
• 50% travel or overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement safety and fleet policies regionally.
• Communicate safety strategy with regional management and Senior Vice President.
• Prepare safety and/or fleet reporting for regional leadership.
• Oversee fleet safety program including vehicle acquisition & disposal.
• Conduct site audits and post-accident investigations.
• Ensure OSHA records are kept and posted; provide stats to marketing as needed.
• Organize safety meetings and attend client safety meetings.
• Serve as safety SME for regional committees.
• Provide safety and fleet recommendations for approval.
