Job summary

Colonial Group in New York is seeking a Regional Safety Manager to lead safety across the region, driving continuous improvement and ensuring OSHA and DOT compliance at multiple locations.

You will develop measurable safety objectives, conduct training, manage workers' comp and investigations, coordinate DOT compliance, and lead safety meetings. Strong communication, audit and project-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of safety experience in manufacturing or supply chain.
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety or related field preferred.
• Experience in distribution/manufacturing safety functions.
• Experience developing safety standards and training programs.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Develop measurable safety performance objectives and policies.
• Deliver safety training to employees including new hires.
• Administer workers' compensation processes and claims.
• Coordinate DOT compliance and accident investigations.
• Lead safety meetings and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records, KPIs, and logs.
• Partner with EHS Director on training and regulatory compliance.
• Inspect facilities, PPE, and safety equipment.
• Conduct monthly safety inspections and audits.
• Coordinate external safety testing and regulatory visits.
• Ensure emergency procedures and security across facilities.
