Job summary

Energy Recruiters has partnered with a leading full-service fuel and convenience store company to recruit a Regional Director of Operations. This remote, field-based role leads District Operations Managers, owns full P&L accountability for the region, and ensures safety, standards, and profitability across multiple districts.

The position requires extensive travel, strong leadership, and the ability to translate corporate strategy into consistent execution at the district and store level.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in multi-unit retail, convenience store, fuel or food service management including managing managers across locations.
• Travel extensively within the assigned region; in-field presence required.
• Experience with EFT/ACH payments.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and Excel.
• Experience with Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) and VIC AI preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set and enforce district performance expectations against KPIs and financial targets.
• Conduct store visits and ride-alongs to coach and ensure standards.
• Partner with HR on regional design, staffing levels and role structure.
• Build regional succession plans for leadership development.
• Review district financial and operational performance, including labor cost and audits, and direct corrective action.
• Ensure consistent execution of pricing and programs across districts.
• Maintain merchandise, planograms and vendor program standards region-wide.
• Oversee IIPP safety programs and food safety and safety guidelines region-wide.
• Ensure site permits, certifications and compliance postings are current across locations.
