Ladders, on behalf of a client in the Energy & Utilities sector, seeks a Regional Program Lead - Utilities to steer regional program management with a strong PMO governance focus. This role partners with senior stakeholders to strengthen delivery, manage risk, and enforce execution discipline across a multidisciplinary team.

You will guide a diverse group of project managers and analysts, helping expand program management capabilities and improve overall performance within a major utility

• 10+ years supporting a major utility client directly or in a consulting capacity.
• Strong understanding of utility organizational structure and business processes.
• Relationships with senior leadership and ability to influence large organizations.

For our client, we are seeking a Regional Program Lead - Utilities to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space.

This role will lead regional program management efforts across utility operations, with a strong focus on PMO leadership, governance, and execution consistency. The position will partner closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen program delivery, manage risk, and improve overall operating discipline. It also involves guiding a multidisciplinary team and helping expand program management capabilities across the organization.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $125,000 – $175,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary PMO leadership representative for a major utility client
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with executives and stakeholders
• Lead the implementation and expansion of PMO services and governance frameworks
• Drive consistency in project execution and risk management
• Identify opportunities to improve PMO performance and capabilities
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of project managers and analysts
• Oversee resource planning and team development

Qualifications

• 10+ years supporting a major utility client directly or in a consulting capacity
• Strong understanding of utility organizational structure and business processes
• Established relationships within senior leadership organizations
• Proven ability to influence large utility organizations
• 15+ years in the electric and/or natural gas utility industry
• Experience leading teams or programs with 20+ resources
• Extensive experience managing large utility programs and capital portfolios
