Job summary

American International Group, Inc. (AIG) is seeking a Regional Production Specialist to drive underwriting excellence within the Middle Market Property team.

You will mentor colleagues, oversee programs, and manage complex underwriting with broker collaboration. You will develop broker relationships, engage in new business development, and attend broker events to promote a high standard of service and risk management.

Qualifications

• Proven underwriting or broking experience in property (preferred but will consider property and/or Inland Marine).
• Deep technical underwriting/broking expertise.
• Proven people management skills and coaching of junior colleagues.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and trends.
• Strong communication, networking and relationship-building skills.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Customer- and sales-oriented: motivated, tenacious, proactive, and accountable.

You will be tasked with mentoring colleagues, overseeing a range of programs and processes, and handling complex underwriting.* You will thrive by successfully balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders and making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, judgement and a risk mind-set. It will be essential to build effective relationships with brokers and deliver a high customer service standard as an example for the team to follow.* You will promote a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and learning while mentoring colleagues through effective role modeling. You will aim to facilitate personal growth and career development in support of succession planning.* You will also play a key role in new business development, including attending broker events, and building new relationships across the market. **What you'll need to succeed** * Proven underwriting or broking experience in property (preferred but will consider property and/or Inland Marine experience as well) and a successful record of selling products to clients.* Deep technical expertise.* Proven people management skills and a record of developing more junior colleagues.* The ability to analyze financial statements.* Strong communication, networking and relationship building skills.* Good organizational and time management skills.* Customer and sales orientated behaviors: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable. The base salary range for this position is $105,000-$125,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. Your actual compensation will be dependent on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
