Job summary

Tufts Medicine Primary Care seeks a Regional Medical Director to oversee our Wakefield-area practices, guiding clinical performance, recruitment, and business strategy. This leadership role requires tenured PCPs capable of driving quality, patient experience, access, growth, and financial stewardship.

You will manage day-to-day operations, oversee practice performance, and collaborate with executive leadership to implement strategic initiatives that strengthen value-based care and population

Qualifications

• Tenured primary care physician with leadership experience and a passion for patient care.
• Adaptable and excited to manage competing demands, changes in work environments, and problem solving.
• Entrepreneurial spirit in leadership with teamwork across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• You’ll manage day to day operations, clinical practice oversight, and staff engagement.
• You’ll focus on patient care and develop longitudinal relationships with your patients.
• You’ll own driving quality-based goals for your team through evidence-based practices, performance measurement and quality improvement initiatives.
• You’ll provide service and people-focused support to meet needs of patients, providers, management and staff.
• You’ll partner with regional specialists to keep care local and ensure high-quality referrals.
• You’ll work cross-functionally with executive leadership to implement business and medical strategies and priorities.
• You’ll optimize access to care through innovative care models and scheduling.
• You’ll effectively manage organizational change and uphold a culture of service excellence.
