Job summary

Central Maine HealthCare in Lewiston, Maine is seeking a Regional Physician Recruiter on-site to strengthen access to care by recruiting physicians and APPs who will serve our communities for years to come. You’ll lead full-cycle recruitment, build relationships with leaders, and coordinate interviews, site visits, and onboarding to ensure a superb candidate experience.

You’ll represent the organization at events, develop workforce plans with leadership, and travel occasionally to recruitment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HR, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
• Proven experience in physician and/or APP recruitment.
• Healthcare recruitment experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of full-cycle recruitment processes within healthcare settings.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously.
• Ability to travel occasionally for recruitment events and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans to attract top clinical talent.
• Build strong relationships with department leaders, medical staff, and operational teams to understand workforce needs.
• Source, engage, and cultivate candidates through networking, conferences, residency programs, and professional organizations.
• Coordinate candidate interviews, site visits, and onboarding activities to ensure an exceptional candidate experience.
• Manage physician recruitment contracts, offer negotiations, and recruitment tracking.
• Represent Central Maine HealthCare at recruitment events, career fairs, and industry conferences.
• Partner with leadership to strengthen physician workforce planning and recruitment initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in physician and/or Advanced Practice Provider recruitment.

Central Maine Healthcare Corporation offers competitive compensation, and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $72,800.00 to $101,712.00 on an annual basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
