Job summary

Skidmore-Sales- is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to sell directly to customers in the Pet Food industry and build strong business relationships across R&D, New Product Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain. You will drive 10% annual gross profit growth and leverage supplier expertise to deliver innovative solutions that help customers develop new products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in food ingredients sales or pet food with new product development success.

Responsibilities

• Meet divisional sales goals with 10% annual gross profit growth.
• Build and expand multi-level relationships with key decision makers.
• Develop understanding of customers’ business plans and operations.
• Plan prospecting via referrals, networking and cold calls.
• Negotiate terms with customers and test for mutual understanding.
• Lead customer-specific technical and marketing projects to completion.
• Prepare and share weekly sales reports and update pipelines.
