Job summary

UT Health East Texas in Tyler, TX is seeking a rotating shift, full-time Patient Logistics/Transfer Coordinator to join our healthcare team.

This role coordinates scheduling, admission, transfer, and patient transport across referring hospitals and clinics, ensuring smooth throughput and continuity of care.

Competitive salary range listed: $51,800 to $73,850 per year, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• 3 years of clinical experience in ED or Critical Care

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the scheduling/admission/transfer of all patient admissions from referring hospitals, clinics, urgent care clinics and physician offices to effectively balance the impact to clinical and operational areas and facilitate throughput.
• Coordinate all components related to the initial admission, transfer, or consultation of critical and non-critical patients into the accepting facility from referring hospitals, clinics, and physician offices with some guidance.
• Manage and dispatches tasks for patient transport and Environmental Services.
