Job summary

Imler's Poultry is seeking a Regional Class A Driver to haul refrigerated loads across multiple states, returning them safely to the plant. Overnight regional trips with sleeper-cab sleeping are common.

You will operate sleeper-cab tractors, verify shipments, and maintain logs while ensuring compliance with safety and food safety rules. This role requires independent work and strong time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and DOT medical certification.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record and FMCSA compliance.
• Willing to travel overnight and sleep in sleeper cab.
• Experience with tractor-trailers; reefer experience preferred.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A refrigerated tractor-trailers with sleeper cabs.
• Travel to suppliers across multiple states to pick up product.
• Transport supplier loads back to Imler's Poultry.
• Complete regional and multi-day routes.
• Spend nights away from home in sleeper cab as required.
• Verify products, bills of lading, and pickup documentation.
• Ensure freight is properly loaded and secured.
• Monitor reefer operation and product temperatures.
• Communicate with Dispatch about pickup times and delays.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain ELD records and DOT logs.
• Follow DOT, FMCSA, safety, and food safety requirements.
• Report equipment issues, damage, or temperature concerns immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness and condition of tractor and trailer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
