Job summary

McCollister’s is seeking a Class A over-the-road/regional driver in the United States. The role pays $0.60 per mile and focuses on planning shipments, maintaining safety and accuracy, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Drivers can reside anywhere in the country and will report to the Operations Manager. You will handle pickups and deliveries for electronics commodities, resolve minor issues with customers, and ensure profitability and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Commercial Class A driver’s license.
• Clean, safe driving record.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Competent computer and iPad skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Must be organized.
• Proven team player with ability to work autonomously.
• Strong work ethic.
• Very organized and timely in tasks.
• Problem solving and conflict resolution.
• Excellent telephone communication skills.
• Team oriented and committed to continuous improvement.
• Able to interface with all members of the organization.
• Basic typing and computer skills (MS Office, Google G Suite).

Responsibilities

• Execute shipment plans within branch operations and United Van Lines.
• Manage workload to maximize efficiency and exceed customer expectations.
• Operate vehicle and equipment safely.
• Protect customer products and facilities.
• Identify significant customer service problems to dispatch for resolution.
• Maintain accurate order status for accountability.
• Supervise and train helpers.
• Vehicle operation.
• Status orders.
• Quality assurance.
• Complete paperwork and records.
• Maintain customer relations.
