Job summary

Mississippi Forward PAC is seeking Regional Organizing Directors to oversee a statewide field team implementing a direct voter contact program in support of the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate.

You will manage a team of organizers, coordinate events, and ensure data integrity while aligning with PAC leadership goals. The role requires 1–2 campaign cycles of staff management, strong organizational skills, and ability to work long hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of field organizers and recruit volunteers for direct voter contact outreach.
• Develop regional strategies and systems to meet daily/weekly organizing metrics and maintain data integrity.
• Recruit, train, motivate, supervise, and retain volunteers; plan staffing and events like canvasses and phone banks.
• Provide daily updates, analysis, and recommendations on voter contact events to the Organizing Director.
• Use tools to evaluate and track voter contact lists and volunteer engagement; ensure timely data entry.
• Maintain, evaluate, and update daily metrics tracking.
• Coordinate literature needs and distribution; prioritize resources and adapt field activities to program objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by ROD and PAC leadership.

Mississippi Forward PAC is hiring Regional Organizing Directors to support the implementation of a direct voter contact program to be executed by a statewide field team in support of the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate, Scott Colom. Regional Organizing Directors (RODs) will manage a team of field organizers who will plan, evaluate, and facilitate community events and coordinate with relevant partners to run an effective and efficient program.

Term: This is a full-time, limited-term at-will position through no later than November 10, 2026.

About Scott Colom:

Scott Colom is a seventh-generation Mississippian from Columbus, a husband and father of two, and a district attorney. Colom is running for Senate to lower costs, protect Mississippi hospitals, bring good jobs home, and work with anyone who will help put Mississippi first. Guided by his Christian faith, he has worked to keep communities safe, hold corrupt government officials accountable and support the jobs and opportunities that help prevent crime.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of field organizers who will recruit volunteers and execute direct voter contact outreach
• Develop regional strategies and systems that lead teams to successfully meet daily and weekly organizing metrics and maintain data integrity
• Support efforts to recruit, train, motivate, supervise, and retain a consistent volunteer base, exercising independent judgment in determining volunteer assignments, priorities, training needs, and engagement strategies to implement the field plan and achieve voter-contact goals. Develop, plan, and manage direct voter contact events such as canvasses, phone banks, and GOTV, and independently determine appropriate staffing, timelines, volunteer deployment, and operational priorities
• Provide the Organizing Director with daily updates, analysis, and recommendations on relevant direct voter contact and voter engagement events
• Use Votebuilder to evaluate and cut direct voter contact lists, conduct volunteer recruitment, track and analyze volunteer engagement and ensure timely and accurate data entry
• Maintain, evaluate, and update metrics tracker on a daily basis
• Determine literature needs and distribution priorities, monitor inventory, and coordinate distribution to supporters and partner organizations Exercise independent judgment and discretion in prioritizing work, allocating resources, resolving routine operational issues, and adapting field activities to meet program objectives
• Other duties as assigned by the ROD, along with other duties assigned by PAC leadership

Location:

Regional Organizing Directors must be willing to relocate within their assigned turf within 3-5 days of start date, unless otherwise agreed to by the Organizing Director and approved by the leadership team.

Salary and Benefits:

The expected salary for this position is $7,000 monthly, less applicable deductions and withholdings. All full-time staff are provided with a full health care package, including vision and dental, subject to plan eligibility terms. This position also offers a relocation stipend of $2,500.

This is a full-time, temporary position through no later than November 10, 2026. Employment is at-will. Due to the compressed nature of the electoral calendar, applicants should expect to work long hours, including evenings and weekend work. With exceptions subject-to-approval for health, vision or dental needs and family emergencies, this position is not otherwise eligible for paid time off or vacation.

Qualifications:

• At least 1-2 cycles of campaign experience managing staff and recruiting volunteers is required
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, meet tight deadlines under pressure
• A keen eye for detail and maintaining a high level of professional standards
• Reliable, punctual, and able to commit throughout the duration of the program
• Comfortable with talking to new people and making hard asks
• Demonstrate strong personal organization and the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate
• Understand and present effective training and management skills with staff and volunteers
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
• Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and a reliable mode of transportation
• Be dedicated to anti-harassment and anti-racist principles, diversity, equity and inclusion, and grassroots organizing
