Qualifications

• OD/MD/PhD with ophthalmology/eye care expertise.
• 2+ years of Medical Science Liaison experience in ophthalmology or related specialty.
• Senior-level opportunities may be available for candidates with 4+ years of MSL experience.

• Excellent relationship-building and emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in optometry and ophthalmology within the assigned territory.
• Serve as the primary Medical Affairs point of contact for scientific exchange and educational engagement with healthcare professionals.
• Gather actionable field insights and communicate findings to internal stakeholders to shape medical strategy.
• Deliver disease state and scientific education to healthcare providers and practice staff.
• Support educational initiatives within optometry schools and ophthalmology residency programs.
• Identify and recommend expert faculty and advisors for educational programs and initiatives.
• Develop and execute KOL engagement plans and attend meetings.
• Collaborate with professional societies and relevant healthcare organizations.
• Present scientific information to a variety of healthcare stakeholders, including payer audiences.
• Contribute leadership to Medical Affairs projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Provide support for clinical development activities when needed.
• Maintain territory plans, KOL profiles, CRM documentation, and budget accountability.
