Job Description

The Regional Manager reports directly to the Division Vice President and indirectly to Accounting, Executive Leadership Team. The position will manage all accounts and managers within the assigned Region while partnering with all departments as required. This position, at times, will also perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary.

  • Support District, Field and Account Managers. Visit accounts regularly and build relationships with customers and team members.
  • Establish and implement operations standards.
  • Exceed account budget sales, increase existing customer revenue growth, identify and sell additional services.
  • Develop new revenue streams and bill extras.
  • Work closely with Sales Team, participate in walk through’s and presentations.
  • Manage and control all non-labor and labor expenses better than budget.
  • Variance reporting.
  • Lead Monthly Regional Board meetings utilizing the 4M Corporate Vision as a guide.
  • Execute the 4M playbook, create and customize priority checklist for all accounts, report to customers, perform Checkpoint inspections, provide proactive customer updates, perform safety Audits and Customer Partnering Reviews.
  • Personally nurture Customer Intimacy to assure 100% account and customer retention.
  • Continually review and introduce new and innovative solutions for the business.
  • Assure hiring process is always followed and new hire paperwork and orientation/training is completed.
  • Communicate and work closely with HR regarding recruitment and utilize for all HR related support.
  • Communicate proactively with upper management on important issues.
  • Attend management and customer meetings.
  • Maintain the responsibility for hiring, firing and transferring of all Team Members.
  • Manage job starts for region.
  • Assist the Safety Department by promoting and ensuring that all safety programs are proactively implemented, i.e. safety shares, Safety Bingo, Toolbox talks, Safety newsletter, TRR, ICPMH, audits, etc).
  • Assure zero EEOC activity and less than 100% turnover annually.
  • Communicate, positively lead, promote self-improvement and identify Team Members who can be developed.
  • Ensure all Team Members are trained and understand how they fit in the company.
  • Support Merger and Acquisition activity within the region.
  • Encourage and promote participation in the LEAD 360 and safety excellence program.
  • Perform account renewals and reviews, keeping updated contract agreements.
  • Create annual Regional budget.
  • Manage and Maintain company vehicles for maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Manage and Maintain clean and organized offices and warehouses 4M leases.
  • Communicate with landlord of 4M leased facilities any needs or suggestions.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of five years progressively responsible leadership experience in industry or related industry- Janitorial Industry.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent related work experience.
  • Proficiency in using operational and financial management software.
  • Computer Skills/Software: 2+ years’ experience using Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.


Travel required:

Yes- 25%-40% travel- May vary depending on location and acquisitions.
