Job summary

Camin Cargo Control, Inc. in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Regional Operations Coordinator to oversee day-to-day inspection and operational activities across Brazil and the South Cone, guiding field inspectors and supporting strategic regional customers to ensure timely service and strict compliance with customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • B.S./B.A. (preferable science degree) is strongly desired.
  • Minimum of three years of experience supporting petroleum, energy, commodities, marine, logistics, or TIC operations.
  • Must possess strong communications, managerial and inter-personal skills, as well as technical and theoretical knowledge of operational and/or laboratory related matters.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, and English (written and verbal) is required.
  • Experience coordinating activities across multiple countries and working with multinational customers is highly desirable.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain effective communication with clients and operational teams across different countries and cultures.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid passport and be legally eligible to travel internationally without restriction.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the liaison between the field inspectors and respective Branch Manager.
  • Coordinates and schedules job assignments to field inspectors (dispatching), as well as requests the necessary analytical tests from the laboratory, based on the requirements of the nomination received from the customers.
  • Serve as the primary operational coordination point for strategic regional accounts, including Copec, ENAP, Ecopetrol, Petroecuador, Petroperú, and other key customers.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers regarding nominations, scheduling, operational status, reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with Branch Managers, Laboratory Managers, Inspectors, and Commercial Teams to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
  • Receives, compiles, and verifies the data resulting from field measurements and laboratory testing and supervises the preparation of the applicable reports for the customer.
  • Monitor operational performance and resource utilization across assigned countries and recommend improvements when necessary.
  • Identifies the problems affecting the quality system in respective areas of responsibility. Initiates, recommends, and/or provides solutions to the problems.
  • Controls field equipment inventory. Coordinates the replacement or repair of faulty equipment. Ensures that each Inspector’s field equipment is properly maintained and in “good working condition”.
  • Performs or shares dispatching duties during non-working hours, weekends and holidays.
  • Has the authority and responsibility for front filling for a Branch Manager in her/his absence.
  • Prepare and analyze operational reports, service metrics, and key performance indicators to support management decision‑making.

Position Summary:

  • Frequent regional travel is an essential requirement of this position. Candidates must be willing and able to travel approximately 5 to 8 times per year, with each trip typically lasting a minimum of one week, including international travel throughout South America and other countries within the region as business needs require.
