Job summary

DCH Health System in Tuscaloosa, AL is seeking a Team Leader to serve as the unit-based clinical supervisor. You will direct staff, manage patient flow, safety, and resource use, and coordinate in-services and mentoring for clinical staff, including new hires.

The role requires RN licensure (AL or multi-state), BLS, and at least 2 years of RN experience, with BSN preferred and various certifications as applicable by specialty areas. Weekend/holiday shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current Alabama or Multistate License required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS Provider training required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a registered nurse required.
• Specialty nursing experience preferred in applied area.
• TNCC must be completed within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates unit activities and provides leadership for unit staffing and patient assignments.
• Supervises and evaluates nursing care furnished to each patient.
• Promotes efficient patient flow including timely discharges and admissions.
• Maintains records related to orientation in-service and unit competency assessments.
• Ensures compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
