Job summary

Red Classic Transit, LLC is hiring a Regional Mobile Technician for the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast region. The role involves extensive regional travel, diagnosing and repairing equipment, and maintaining parts inventory to ensure ready-now assets.

You will interact with customers and travel up to three weeks per month. Starting pay ranges from $34 to $40 per hour, with full-time benefits including weekly pay, paid training, uniforms, safety gear, PTO, 401(k) matching, ESPP, and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Basic electrical and mechanical diagnostics and repair.
• Ability to schedule and prioritize daily tasks.

Refresh and Grow your Career with Us! Regional Mobile Technician - Job Overview:

The Regional Mobile Technician is responsible for leveraging mechanical knowledge throughout an assigned territory, ensuring ready now status of internal and external assets. This technician manages inventory, diagnoses and repairs equipment, develops and maintains relationships with internal and external customers, oversee parts inventory as required, attends meetings, and travels extensively overnight to accomplish daily goals. The Regional Mobile Technician will fill in as needed for the Lead Vehicle Technician within assigned territory as needed. Must be equipped with personal hand tools, (removed box tools are stored in Service bed of truck).

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :

• Basic electrical, mechanical diagnostics, and repair
• Ability to schedule and prioritize daily tasks
• Basic PC knowledge, ABS diagnosis and repairs, and basic diagnostic tool skills
• Understanding of tire inflation systems
• Knowledge of how to mount and dismount tires
• Knowledge of power, hand, diagnostic tools
• Ability to operate material handling equipment
• Must be capable of driving company equipment, including class 8 tractors indoor, outdoor and roadside work
• Must be capable of driving and working out of a mobile shop truck
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and potentially be able to vary the start and finish times including weekends and holidays
• Professional and appropriate interaction with internal and external customer.
• Ability to schedule and prioritize daily tasks
• Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions
• Must adhere to company uniform and appearance standards
• Ability to work remotely at various customer commercial sites without direct supervision

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Class A/B License preferred for some positions
• Ability to obtain DOT Medical Certificate
• DOT Brake/Annual Inspection certification
• High school diploma or equivalency experience required
• Clean driving record
