Job summary

River Road Freight is seeking full-time Regional Midwest CDL Class A drivers for Romeoville and Joliet, IL. This role covers dedicated routes within a 1,000 mile round-trip with home every other day and mostly drop-and-hook freight on newer equipment.

Expect evening/overnight shifts with 40–45 hours per week and guaranteed weekly hours. Competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive company culture are provided.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with clean driving record.
• DOT physical, background check and pre-employment drug test.
• No major CDL suspensions/revocations in last 5 years (DWI/DUI not allowed).
• Meet MVR requirements and positive Drive-A-Check (DAC) report.
• Fluent in English for written and spoken communication.
• Schedule flexibility (Day/Evening/Night/Weekends).

Responsibilities

• Operate semis on dedicated routes within 1,000 miles round-trip.
• Home Every Other Day with a 34-hour reset at home.
• No-touch/drop-and-hook freight with consistent dispatching.
• Maintain safety, compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Use GPS and handheld devices to navigate and communicate with dispatch.
