Job summary

Merck is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director for Cardiopulmonary & Pulmonary Hypertension. The role requires an MD/PhD/PharmD/APP and entails engaging external scientific leaders, data generation support for trials, and contributing to R&D strategy.

You will build peer-level relationships and provide scientific information on areas of therapeutic interest, with a focus on the Southeast US region.

Qualifications

• Three years in the biotech/pharmaceutical or healthcare environment.
• Three years clinical and/or research in Cardiovascular & Pulmonary therapeutic areas, or five years Medical Scientific Liaison experience.
• Principled interpersonal, communication, networking, and presentation skills.
• Deep therapeutic competency in Cardiovascular & Pulmonary translational science.
• Knowledge of external stakeholders and investigators within the TA.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage national, regional, and clinical leaders to address scientific needs.
• Conduct peer-level scientific discussions and maintain external scientific relationships.
• Facilitate scientific exchange to inform internal strategies.
• Represent the company at scientific meetings and contribute to post-congress reports.
• Support ISP and investigator-initiated studies as prioritized by leadership.
