AltaMed Health Services in Commerce, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant for its Regional Float Pool. The role supports patient care across ambulatory clinics with assignments that may vary between Los Angeles and Orange County.

Positions offer variable lengths, from a few weeks to a few months, as coverage is needed. Minimum requirements include a Medical Assistant diploma, HS diploma, and at least 3 years of back-office experience.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Medical Assistant diploma required.
• At least 3 years of back-office experience preferred.
• Experience in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Women’s Health, and Urgent Care is preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Valid BLS certification or higher per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care support across ambulatory clinics.
• Assist in back-office duties and triage as needed.
• Support multiple clinics as a regional float with varying assignments in LA or OC.
