Job summary

Central City Community Health Center is seeking a Certified Licensed Medical Assistant to provide direct clinical support to providers and patients in a busy clinic setting. The role involves performing both clinical tasks and administrative duties, maintaining patient records, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, and the candidate must have reliable transportation and CA Driver License.

Qualifications

• Certified Licensed Medical Assistant required.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinic services such as TB skin tests and administration of prescribed medication.
• Draw blood, give injections, immunizations, read skin tests, obtain lab specimens.
• Prepare patient for doctor examination and assist physician.
• Take medical history and check vital signs.
• Schedule appointments and maintain x-ray and medical records.
• Inventory of laboratory supplies.
• Back-office logs and supplies management.
• Assist with prescription refills.
• Clean and disinfect exam rooms and lab areas; autoclave instruments.
• Stock exam rooms and order supplies when low.
• Participate in quality improvement directives and trainings.
