Job summary

Allure Healthcare Services in Illinois seeks a Regional MDS Consultant (RN) or (LPN) to oversee the MDS process across eight skilled nursing facilities. The role partners with facility leaders to ensure accurate assessments, regulatory compliance, and optimal reimbursement under PDPM.

You will mentor MDS Coordinators, deliver ongoing education, monitor audits such as TPE/ADR, and stay current with CMS changes. Travel between Quad Cities region facilities is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN or LPN license.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an MDS Coordinator in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting.
• Regional or multi-facility MDS consulting experience strongly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of MDS 3.0, RAI Manual, PDPM, CMS regulations, QMs, CAAs, NFLOC.

Responsibilities

• Oversee MDS process accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across 8 facilities.
• Serve as primary clinical reimbursement resource for MDS coordinators.
• Ensure timely, accurate completion of all MDS assessments.
• Monitor CMS reimbursement opportunities while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Conduct routine facility visits to evaluate MDS performance and documentation practices.
• Develop corrective action plans and coaching to improve outcomes.
• Conduct orientation and ongoing education for MDS Coordinators and interdisciplinary teams.
• Develop training materials, procedural guides, and MDS educational resources.
• Maintain knowledge of CMS regulations, PDPM requirements, and state reimbursement guidelines.
• Oversee CMS audits and reimbursement processes such as TPE and ADR.
