sweetgreen seeks a Regional Marketing Specialist to energize Boston's local community through events, sampling, and grassroots partnerships. You will collaborate with restaurant teams to build relationships, drive guest traffic, and grow repeat catering and Outpost accounts.

You'll own neighborhood partnerships, run in‑market activations, and develop a CRM of local accounts to track leads and conversions. If you love hands‑on marketing that moves foot traffic, this role is for you.

• Own grassroots demand generation in Boston and build local relationships.
• Source and close neighborhood partnerships with offices, gyms, hospitals, universities, and coworking spaces.
• Run in-market activations such as sampling at lobbies, events, and campus activities with nonprofit partners.
• Bridge HR and marketing teams, coaching local outreach and maintaining relationships through changes.
• Build and manage a CRM of local accounts and champions; track leads, activations, and repeat business.
• Report monthly on cost per new account and traffic lift; advise which partnerships to scale.

We're looking for a Regional Marketing Specialist to support sweetgreen's community marketing efforts across the Boston market. This role will bring our brand to life through local events, product sampling, community partnerships, and grassroots marketing initiatives. Working closely with our restaurant teams, you'll help build meaningful connections within local communities, increase brand awareness, attract new guests, and drive repeat visits. The ideal candidate is passionate about community engagement, thrives in a hands‑on environment, and is excited to make a measurable impact on restaurant traffic and sales growth.

Own grassroots demand generation in Boston — build the local relationship layer that national marketing can't reach

Source and close neighborhood partnerships: corporate offices and building managers (catered lunches, tasting drops), gyms and fitness studios, hospitals, universities, and co-working spaces

Run in‑market activations — sampling at building lobbies, race and fitness events, campus move‑in, farmers markets — with local nonprofits and community groups as partners, not sponsors

Serve as the connective tissue between HCs and marketing: coach teams on local outreach, arm them with intros, and make sure the relationship survives a manager transition

Build a CRM of local accounts and champions; track leads, activations, and repeat business rather than one‑off impressions

No discounting authority. Success is measured in new relationships, repeat catering/Outpost accounts, and incremental traffic — not redemption rates

Report on cost per new account and traffic lift by market monthly; recommend which partnerships to scale
