Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company (MEC) seeks a results-oriented Controller to serve as the primary finance business partner for a region of manufacturing facilities across the United States, including Milwaukee HQ. This role drives financial performance, operational excellence, and strategic decision-making with leadership to site operations.

Reporting to Operations Director, you will lead monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, KPI analysis (yield, scrap, downtime, OEE), ensure SOX compliance, and

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all accounting disciplines and regulatory reporting.
• Ability to guide accounting teams in planning, execution, and compliance.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and financial records.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close for assigned plants and ensure accurate reporting.
• Prepare forecasts and annual budgets for assigned plants.
• Provide detailed financial analysis to senior management.
• Monitor KPIs (yield, scrap, downtime, OEE) and drive improvements.
• Present plant results in MBR/OBR meetings.
• Develop financial models for initiatives and capex.
• Ensure SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Collaborate with leaders to drive cost efficiency and growth.
• Perform managerial responsibilities including coaching and budgeting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
