Job summary

Smalltown Dental is seeking a Regional Manager of Hygiene to lead and standardize hygiene practices across our Springfield locations, partnering with the Clinical Director and Practice Managers to uphold exceptional preventive care. This role drives policy, standards, and professional development, with travel between sites as needed.

The ideal candidate holds an active dental hygiene license, has hygienist experience, and demonstrates strong communication and organization.

Qualifications

• Active dental hygiene license in good standing.
• Prior experience as a Dental Hygienist; leadership/mentorship preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel between locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hygiene standards, KPIs across all locations.
• Partner with Clinical Director to develop and implement hygiene policies.
• Mentor, train, and support hygienists across the organization.
• Conduct chart audits and performance reviews for quality and compliance.
• Assist with hygiene team scheduling, coverage, and staffing across locations.
• Support onboarding and continuing education for hygiene team members.
• Serve as a point of contact for hygiene-related questions and escalations.
• Collaborate with Practice Managers to address performance gaps and growth opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Overview: The Regional Manager of Hygiene plays a key leadership role in driving clinical excellence and consistency across Smalltown Dental's hygiene department. This individual partners closely with the Clinical Director, Practice Managers, and hygiene teams across all locations to set standards, support professional development, and ensure every patient receives outstanding preventive care. This role is based out of our Springfield location.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee hygiene standards, protocols, and KPIs across all Smalltown Dental locations
• Partner with the Clinical Director to develop and implement consistent hygiene policies and procedures
• Mentor, train, and support hygienists across the organization
• Conduct regular chart audits and performance reviews to ensure quality and compliance
• Assist with hygiene team scheduling, coverage, and staffing needs across locations
• Support onboarding and continuing education for hygiene team members
• Serve as a point of contact for hygiene-related questions and escalations
• Collaborate with Practice Managers to address performance gaps and growth opportunities
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Pay Range: $75,000 – $80,000 per year
