Jobtailor is seeking a regional maintenance leader to oversee operations across multiple properties in the United States. The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, HVAC expertise, and strong vendor and budget management to ensure timely repairs and compliance with LIHTC, HOME and Section 8 requirements.

The candidate will develop and deliver regional training, mentor staff, and coordinate capital projects while traveling within the region.

Qualifications

6+ years in maintenance with supervisory experience
EPA 608 Universal Certification required
HVAC knowledge: troubleshooting, repair, replacement
3+ years HVAC troubleshooting, repair and installation experience
Proficient with Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and RealPage OneSite
Skills in carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical, appliance repair, painting, janitorial
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, instructions, and specs
Familiar with common hand and power tools
Knowledge of LIHTC, HOME and Section 8 compliance
Budget planning knowledge
High school diploma or equivalent
Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Driver's license and access to a vehicle
Ability to lift up to 55 lb
Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoors in all weather
Willingness to travel within the region and to other regions as required

Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance operations across multiple sites within an assigned region
Perform hands-on maintenance including drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair
Develop training programs and lead quarterly region-wide training
Train, mentor, and coach maintenance staff
Manage vendors and capital projects
Standardize maintenance processes across sites
Ensure resident issues are resolved promptly and followed through
Travel daily between properties with overnight stays as needed
Conduct quarterly property inspections
Provide or coordinate maintenance coverage across properties
Assist with daily repairs and on-call duties for absent staff
Hire, train, and develop on-site technicians with regional leaders
Inspect properties for safety and security issues and ensure repairs are completed
Assist managers with maintenance operating budgets
Collect preventative maintenance logs monthly
Monitor work orders, PM, safety compliance, inventories, purchases and make-ready completion
Maintain professional relationships with residents, vendors and staff
Report health and safety concerns
Support inspections and timely closeouts by state or syndicators
Assist with capital projects and vendor oversight
Interview maintenance candidates as needed

Job description

Perform hands-on maintenance, including drywall repair, painting, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general building maintenance
Develop training programs and lead region-wide quarterly training

Requirements

Minimum 6+ years of maintenance experience with supervisory experience
EPA 608 Universal Certification required
Working knowledge of HVAC, including troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of HVAC systems
Minimum 3 years of verifiable HVAC troubleshooting, repair, and installation experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and RealPage OneSite
Skills in carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical, appliance repair, machine repair, painting, and janitorial work
Knowledge of building trades
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, instructions, and specifications
Familiarity with common hand tools and power tools
Deep understanding of LIHTC, HOME, and Section 8 compliance
Budget planning knowledge
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Must have a driver's license and car
