Job summary

Charter Schools USA in Florida seeks an Area IT Support Specialist to maintain and support critical school systems across a regional portfolio. You will assist school administrators, teachers, parents, and students, ensuring system availability and reliable IT services.

You will work with the State IT team and outsourced partners to plan network and computing infrastructure, handle daily end-user support, and provide regular status updates while following safety and policy guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of experience supporting IT customers
  • Advanced hardware and software troubleshooting in an enterprise environment
  • School environment experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Manage service zone to ensure support tickets are completed within SLA
  • Monitor requests to identify larger-scale issues
  • Plan and support network and computing infrastructure with State IT team
  • Provide daily end-user support for hardware, software, backups, and networking
  • Provide updates to the State IT Director/Manager on system status
  • Escalate issues to State IT Escalation Team as needed
  • Maintain disaster recovery and documentation procedures
  • Be a liaison for schools, clients, and vendors
