Job summary

Germain Motor Company in Columbus, OH seeks a Director of Information Technology to lead IT operations, security, and strategy. You will oversee multi-state dealerships, manage budgets, and align technology with business goals, while leading a hands-on team of IT professionals.

The role requires strong leadership, deep IT expertise, and the ability to collaborate with dealership leadership and vendors to drive scalable, secure tech across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive IT experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, cybersecurity, M365, identity mgmt and IT infra.
• Experience managing vendors, projects, budgets and service delivery.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to stay hands-on.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience developing scalable IT processes, documentation, and security standards.
• Ability to travel periodically to company locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and support IT professionals across multiple states.
• Collaborate with local IT resources for responsive, consistent market support.
• Oversee daily IT operations, help desk, incident response, and escalation.
• Set service standards, accountability, and processes across all locations.
• Partner with GM and corporate leadership to align operations with needs.
• Develop and manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and investments.
• Oversee DMS/CRM and OEM tech integrations with vendors and teams.
• Drive technology strategy, roadmaps, and continuous improvements.
