The U.S. Forest Service is seeking a Regional Incident Business Management Specialist in the fires and hazards program area.

The role focuses on incident business management for wildland fire and all-hazard incidents, serving as a regional expert and liaison among multiple agencies and teams. Responsibilities include coordinating with IMTs, negotiating program acceptance, and developing performance guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the USFS Regional Incident Business Management Specialist, coordinating among Forests, USDA, IMT, Buying Teams and Incident Business Advisors.
• Negotiates with federal and state officials to gain acceptance of new programs or systems.
• Conducts reviews and analyses to measure incident business performance and develops process guidelines.
• Participates in training to develop and present incident business materials and concepts.
• Coordinates, negotiates, develops, and administers interagency agreements for fire protection units while following laws and policies.
• Prepares written reports and analyses on USDA USFS policies, including expenditures, rentals, and procurement.
