Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a professional HSE Manager to support NA region distribution domain activities. You will drive compliance with QHSE standards, mentor regional teams and partner with delivery managers to minimize risk on projects and services.

You will investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and promote training programs across multiple sites, while traveling regularly and engaging contractors to uphold Vanderlande standards.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive QHSE experience in engineering, construction or infrastructure.
• Degree or professional equivalent in occupational safety & health; CSP certification required.
• Knowledge of OSHA/ANSI standards and risk reduction principles; ability to apply in engineering/construction contexts.
• Experience with international QHSE management system standards; ability to travel up to 50%.
• Excellent communication, training and stakeholder influence skills; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Promote a proactive QHSE culture and engage teams to improve performance.
• Provide direction to regional teams, project managers and service managers in site planning and execution.
• Support procurement due diligence to verify HSE credentials of contractors and suppliers.
• Audit contractors and monitor compliance with standards.
• Raise awareness through training and effective communication of HSE requirements.
• Investigate significant incidents and perform root cause analysis; drive corrective actions.
• Visit sites to audit, inspect and drive continual QHSE improvements.
• Verify training & competences and promote Vanderlande QHSE programs.
• Collate QHSE data for reporting at site/country/region/domain level.
• Coordinate with statutory directors for local reporting.
• Support the HSE Officer role on projects and service activities.
