Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a Regional HR Manager located in Illinois to lead HR initiatives across the Midwest U.S. Collision Region.

You will partner with operations leaders to align talent, performance, and employee engagement while ensuring compliance with laws and company policies. You will coach managers, support talent acquisition, and drive programs that foster a high-performance, inclusive culture across multiple shops.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, related field, or professional experience equivalent.
  • 5+ years' experience in human resources and supporting operations leadership.
  • Experience providing field support in a multi-site/location environment.
  • Prior experience creating or implementing a people strategy for an hourly/salary workforce.
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Advanced skills using Google Workspace (formerly G-Suite)
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and support talent planning, performance review, career development, employee development, ID&E, retention and engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and deploy resources and tools to field to optimize a discrimination-free environment; measure engagement, turnover, and compliance.
  • Provide coaching to management on development plans and succession planning; support performance management and talent initiatives.
  • Serve as SME in employee investigations; collaborate with HRBP, COE, and legal as needed.
  • Support talent acquisition activities for assigned markets as directed by TA Manager and HRBP.
  • Ensure markets/shops maintain a positive, inclusive work environment; escalate HR questions as needed.
  • Develop and execute innovative people programs to support a high-performance culture.
  • Assist acquisitions HR support within the division.

The RHRM utilizes business acumen and understanding of the Boyd Group’s Core Business to leverage HR Strategies to ensure consistent and equitable application of organizational goals & objectives. This is a consultative, yet deeply engaged approach to engaging with General Managers and Market Managers on business and people issues. Consulting on employee relations, the RHRM helps to build a best-in-class culture as a change agent to enable the growth & development of our people through change management, talent development, employee engagement, and performance management.Key Job ResponsibilitiesIn consultation with Operations and HR partners, plan and support talent planning, performance review, career development, employee development, ID&E, retention and employee engagement initiatives.Partners with Operations and HR partners to strategically develop and execute plans to reduce turnover in high turnover positions/markets.Accountable for the development and deployment of appropriate resources and tools into the field to optimize an environment where the organization is free of all discrimination and harassment by proactively measuring employee engagement, turnover, and compliance with all applicable Federal, state, and/or municipal laws.Provides support and coaching to management positions as they create and act on their individual development plans. Facilitates and supports succession planning, performance management, performance planning and other corporately driven talent management and HR programs.Functions as the SME in supporting employee investigations.
