Job summary

48forty Solutions is seeking a Regional HR Manager to partner with management across our organization in the United States. You will act as a change agent to foster an employee-oriented culture and deliver value-added HR services.

In this role, you will guide field management on performance, investigations, training, workforce planning, and policy interpretation while ensuring compliance in multiple states, including California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
• HR Certification (SHRM/PHR) preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of labor legislation, including California.
• 3-5 years HR business partner experience required.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
• Broad working knowledge of all aspects of HR functions and business processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in Data Analytics, Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
• Strong planning and execution skills.
• Solid cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• Bilingual abilities (English and Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Formulate partnerships across the business function(s) and HR to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues - conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations
• Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to field management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
• Consult often with field management, providing HR guidance when appropriate
• Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance, in many states, including California, partnering with our Legal department as needed
• Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, to build morale, and to increase productivity and retention
• Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to all employees
• Deliver guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
• Identify training needs for assigned locations and individual executive coaching needs
• Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success, then follow up to ensure training objectives are met
