Job summary

Air Methods seeks exceptional pilots to join our air medical transport team, delivering patient care 24/7. This role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and coordination with EMS, hospitals, and crewmembers across a broad geographic area.

The position offers a pathway to advancement within a high-performing culture. Qualifications include an associate degree or equivalent, 2–5 years' related experience, and adequate flight hours with instrument rating and ATP in category.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent; 2–5 years' related experience or training.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• FAA pilot certifications and medical certificates required.

Responsibilities

• Operates Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.
• Completes pre-flight checks and signs off Daily Flight Log.
• Final authority for operations and passenger, cargo, and equipment safety.
• Familiar with aircraft and medical systems; ensures medical team is comfortable with interior and systems.
• Responsible for completion of required documentation.
• Conducts detailed flight planning with little notice.
• Participates in meetings, projects, committees and community outreach.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Associate's degree or equivalent

Instrument rating

ATP rating in category

Fixed wing multiengine rating

Commercial single engine land

FAA Medical (1st or 2nd class)
