Job summary

West Virginia University Health System is seeking a Director of Compliance to plan and direct the implementation of the compliance strategy across designated facilities or regions in West Virginia. You will oversee multiple entities, enforce policies, and promote adherence to federal and state rules as well as WVUHS policies.

This role may manage central staff and coordinate with external counsel. The position requires CHC certification, a bachelor's degree in healthcare or related fields, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field and CHC certification.
• Alternatively an Associate degree with 4 years of compliance-related experience and CHC within 1 year.
• Seven years of healthcare compliance experience plus four years in health care management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage compliance across facilities or a region to meet laws, regulations, and policies.
• Develop and implement system-wide code of conduct and compliance programs.
• Coordinate annual risk assessments and local work planning with audit teams.
• Provide training on compliance topics and report to leadership and the Board.
