Socket.dev seeks a Regional General Manager in Dallas to drive customer growth, hit sales targets, and oversee regional operational excellence. You will ensure adherence to our standards and lead teams to implement strategies that align with our Vision, Mission, and Values.

The role requires 10+ years in the automotive aftermarket with at least 4 years in senior management, strong economics and sales knowledge, and proven leadership and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 10 years of automotive aftermarket experience, with at least 4 years in a senior management position.
  • Advanced knowledge of economics and sales principles and practices.
  • Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, production methods, and coordinating people and resources.
  • Some travel required, including visiting all areas of your district and meetings at the corporate office.
  • Basic computer, internet, emailing skills, Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with SOE and Universe systems.
  • Knowledge of curriculum and training design, and measurement of training effects.
  • Understanding XL/TPH business model

Regional General Manager

Reports To: SVP of Sales & Operations
Direct Reports: Yes
Status: Full-Time

Job Purpose:

The Regional General Manager is responsible for the attainment of customer growth, achievement of sales targets while overseeing operational excellence. The Regional General Manager must ensure adherence to our standards, and demonstrate behavior consistent with our Vision, Mission, Values.

KeyJobResponsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of Area Directors
  • Primary ownership over sales and operations, driving a “One Team” culture in your region
  • Maintain current knowledge of market trends, and drive the development of sales promotions, initiatives, and strategies to align with said trends.
  • Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities, such as training and incentive programs, for employees in your region.
  • Develop a strategy and process for attaining business from prospective clients while cultivating an ongoing client roster
  • Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity, and advise the executive team on short-term and long-term objectives, policies, and actions.
  • Collaborate with designated Product Team members to develop, establish, and implement channel and distribution strategies and programs.
  • Ensure targets are achieved within each market
  • Actively lead teams to seek and achieve market share, and focus programs on specific targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers
Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. At least 10 years of automotive aftermarket experience, with at least 4 years in a senior management position.
  • Advanced knowledge of economics and sales principles and practices. Must have outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Must be able to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Some travel will be required, including visiting all areas of your district, as well as attending meetings and training in the corporate office. Additional travel opportunities may arise.
  • Must have basic computer, internet and emailing skills, knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and knowledge of SOE and Universe systems.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
  • Understanding of XL/TPH business model
