Job summary

7‑Eleven is seeking a RMT I Fuel Trainer to develop and deliver technical training programs for field technicians supporting fuel systems and forecourt equipment. This role ensures technicians are proficient in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance of fuel dispensing systems.

Travel up to 50% for on-site training and regional support. Pay range is $34 to $42 per hour. Requires 5+ years in retail fuel systems and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in retail fuel systems or forecourt equipment.
• Certifications in GVR and/or Wayne Dispensers are required.
• Experience with Veeder-Root tank monitoring and POS systems.
• State-specific fuel system certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured technical training for new and existing technicians.
• Conduct field training, ride-alongs, and hands-on demonstrations.
• Train on installation, diagnostics, and repair of fuel systems.
• Develop and maintain training materials and SOPs.
• Ensure regulatory and safety compliance in all activities.
• Evaluate technician performance and identify skill gaps.
• Support rollout of new fuel tech and system upgrades.
