Job summary

SunOpta seeks a Regional FSQ Manager to lead plant FSQ and sanitation teams, ensuring compliance with GFSI standards and customer expectations at SunOpta’s manufacturing sites. You will mentor personnel, drive corrective actions, and partner with Corporate FSQ and regulatory agencies to sustain high quality and safety.

This role travels 50-70% to sites and reports to Corporate FSQ leadership. You bring 10+ years in food safety management, strong HACCP/GMP knowledge, and proven leadership to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science/Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 10 years in food safety system management, with at least 5 years in a people management role.

Responsibilities

• Lead FSQ and Sanitation teams to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
• Mentor FSQ personnel and coordinate with Corporate FSQ and customers.
• Develop and maintain Food Safety Plans/HACCP, GMPs, and related programs.
• Manage corrective actions, internal audits, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee regulatory compliance across multiple sites and certifications.
