Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Regional Environmental Manager to lead environmental operational excellence across NY/NJ sites. This onsite role (Mon-Fri) in the NY/NJ area includes up to 50% travel and potential team leadership in the future.

The REM will execute environmental strategy, provide technical support to current operations, and collaborate with partners to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Base pay ranges are provided for NJ and NY sites.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in the Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of program or project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilize risk assessments and compliance evaluations to drive continuous improvement initiatives that minimize environmental impacts.
• Manage and execute multi-site responsibilities to comply with air emissions, storm-water, waste, and wastewater regulations and reporting.
• Develop and maintain relationships with business partners to support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
• Drive an environmentally responsible culture within the organization.
• Provide strategic environmental support and regulatory review for future business growth and expansion.
