Job summary

AMD in the Bay Area, CA is seeking an Embedded Sales Engineer to support the sales process for AMD's x86 technology across embedded platforms. You will lead technical discussions, provide design guidance, and drive wins from design to mass production with customers and partners.

Responsibilities include on-site customer meetings, platform development support, performance benchmarking, and technical training for the sales team. Travel up to 25% is expected; a technical degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Broad technical understanding of AMD’s x86 product portfolio (embedded focus).
• End-user hardware/software environments incl. Windows/Linux, compilers, benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales process by enabling new customer solutions based on AMD x86 technology.
• Lead technical discussions and resolve issues from design to mass production.
• On-site meetings with customers; HW platform development and debug assistance.
• Performance benchmarking analysis to support customer opportunities.
• Debugging/optimizing customer designs for AMD architecture.
• Provide technical guidance for platform performance improvements (HW/SW).
• Deliver technical training for customers or the AMD sales team.
• Evaluate and research competitive platforms/technologies.
• Present AMD roadmaps or technology internally and externally.
• Support conferences or regional events with demos and presentations.
• Travel up to 25%.
