Job summary

Clear Global Solutions, LLC is seeking an Elevator Consultant / QEI Inspector to support federal facilities in the Kansas City region. The role focuses on inspections, condition assessments, maintenance oversight, and modernization planning to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance.

The position is on-site in Kansas City, MO with regional travel, offering a base salary of $100,000–$120,000 annually plus a $10,000 relocation or signing bonus.

Qualifications

• Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI) certification required or in progress.
• Experience inspecting, evaluating, maintaining, repairing, or modernizing elevators/vertical transportation.
• Strong knowledge of ASME elevator codes, safety standards, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to interpret drawings, inspection records, and contractor submissions.
• Experience preparing technical reports and cost estimates.
• Strong written communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect elevators and vertical transportation at federal facilities.
• Conduct condition assessments and identify safety and modernization needs.
• Evaluate equipment performance, maintenance quality, and code compliance.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contractor submittals.
• Support acceptance testing, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
• Prepare independent estimates and corrective-action recommendations.
• Provide technical guidance to contractors and government stakeholders.
• Track inspection findings and maintenance performance over time.
