Job summary

Sazerac is seeking a Regional Driver to shuttle materials between Dallas, TX and Jeffersonville, IN. This no-touch, drop-and-hook role supports our internal transportation network and keeps operations on schedule.

You'll operate a tractor-trailer on a twice-weekly rotation, comply with all DOT regulations, and maintain logs. A valid Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement and a clean record are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement.
• Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT and company driving requirements.
• Compliance with FMCSA drug and alcohol testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial truck and trailer between Dallas, TX and Jeffersonville, IN, completing the route twice per week.
• Follow the established Monday schedule, including arriving within four hours of departure and making the scheduled delivery.
• Complete drop-and-hook trailer exchanges; freight is no-touch, with no loading or unloading or deliveries to retail stores.
• Adhere to all DOT, federal, state, and company safety requirements, including hazardous materials regulations.
• Perform vehicle inspections, maintain logs, and report issues or safety concerns promptly.

Job Description/Responsibilities

As a Regional Driver, you’ll transport materials between Sazerac facilities in Dallas, Texas, and Jeffersonville, Indiana, making the route twice per week. This is a no-touch freight position using a drop-and-hook process, meaning you won’t be responsible for loading or unloading freight or making deliveries to retail stores. Drivers are expected to arrive in Jeffersonville within four hours of the scheduled Monday departure, get their required rest, and then make the delivery. This role is key to keeping our internal transportation network running safely and on schedule.

What You’ll Do

• Complete drop-and-hook trailer exchanges; freight is no-touch, with no loading or unloading required and no deliveries to retail stores.
• Follow all DOT, federal, state, and company safety requirements, including hazardous materials transportation regulations.
• Complete vehicle inspections, maintain accurate driving and maintenance logs, and promptly report vehicle issues or safety concerns.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Valid HazMat endorsement.
• Clean driving record and ability to meet applicable DOT and company driving requirements.
• Compliance with all applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing requirements.

Preferred

• Two years of relevant commercial driving experience.
• Experience with drop-and-hook operations, trailer exchanges, and transportation documentation.
• Ability to work nontraditional hours and maintain a consistent regional driving schedule.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while driving and safely enter and exit the truck and trailer.
• Ability to complete required vehicle inspections and handle related equipment.
• Ability to meet applicable DOT medical qualification requirements and safely perform the essential functions of the role.
